Social Housing in London 1890 - present

Recent examples from London showing case studies of new social housing projects. They include work by architects such as Haworth Tompkins, Karakusevic Carson, Peter Barber, Archio and others. The designs mark a return to traditional urbanism with buildings that define streets and blocks and relate to the surrounding context. Local materials such as brick are prevalent in contrast to the concrete highrise towers that they frequently replace.
