Evanston Library Competition, Evanston IL

Designed as John G Ellis Architect, 1992

A competition for a new public library in downtown Evanston IL. The design is organized around a central rotunda that rises through the building to provide daylight and to orientate visitors and users. The ground floor contains a Children’s Library, Large Meeting Room and service areas while the upper floors contain the Adult Library and book stacks.
