Family House, Corte Madera CA

Designed as John G Ellis Architect, 1985

Like many architects I hoped to be able to build a house for my family in California. The idea was to design a house that achieved sustainable goals with solar panels and thick wall insulation.

Alternative studies explored the use of trellised screens resulting in a false front added to the fixer-upper we own.
