Flood Building, San Francisco CA

Designed as KMD Architects, 1989

John Ellis Project Designer with Jeff Horowitz, Rich Lowry

The historic Flood Building, originally built in 1904 to designs by Albert Pissis, was restored to its former state with the recladding of the lower two floors and the replanning of its interior. Glass fiber reinforced concrete panels designwed to match the original Colusa stonework together with new storefronts have transformed the building after years of insensitive design and lack of maintenance.
