Railroad Square, Santa Rosa CA
Designed as WRT/Solomon ETC, 2007

Railroad Square in Downtown Santa Rosa is centered on the old Northwest Pacific Railroad Station. The new Sonoma Marin Area Rapid Transit (SMART) rail line serves the area which promises to become a dense transit-oriented neighborhood, revitalizing the several historic buildings around the station. The plan proposes new mixed-use development on the western side of the tracks incorporating a mix of building types. The street grid is extended across the tracks with a new crescent shaped market square is proposed on axis with 4th Street.
